About This Home

The space

This newly furnished home has modern amenities, a quiet location, and proximity to all that Seattle has to offer.

The entry level is the living area, along with 1 bedroom.  Another 4 bedrooms are upstairs.

Enter to a spacious foyer with large coat closet. The adjacent living room has is furnished with a queen sleeper sofa futon (very comfortable mattress!), DVD, and cable TV. There is also a card table for poker aficionados. Enjoy our collection of games (Scrabble, cards, etc.) in front of the gas fireplace.

Also on this floor is the open concept kitchen with modern counter tops, new cabinets, and stainless steel appliances. The kitchen has an eat-in breakfast nook. The adjacent dining room has a large table with seating for your entire group!  Also on this floor is a bedroom with twin over full bunk bed, a full bathroom, and laundry machines.

4 bedrooms are upstairs. The master bedroom offers flexibility for all sorts of group configurations. There is a bunk bed in addition to a queen bed. The closets are large. There is an ornamental fireplace and en suite bathroom with bath. Bedroom 2 has a twin over full size bed. Bedroom 3 has a king bed and direct access to the bathroom (which is also accessed from the hallway). Bedrooms 2 and 3 each have direct access to a large deck overlooking Madison Valley. A small 4th bedroom rounds out the upper floor. It is furnished with a queen bed.

Continue out the back door of the home to a large deck and urban rock garden. Here you will find a BBQ and seating. Ascend the stairs to get to your dedicated parking space. Additional cars can park right in front of your home.

Each of our homes has been decorated with a playful theme, making it more engaging than your typical rental home or hotel. This home will soon be directed to pay homage to the local sports teams!

Guest access

Access to the home is provided without a cumbersome lock box or key exchange. Instead, you will choose a 4 digit code, and and the electronic lock to the home will be programmed work your code for the duration of your stay.
You will have access to the entire home, including off-street parking for up to 4 cars (and plentiful free street parking for additional vehicles). You also have unrestricted use of the backyard, deck, and BBQ.
 

Interaction with guests

Your hosts, Andy and Lynne, live in the neighborhood. We are here to welcome you and help you with any of your needs during your stay. We are happy to offer you advice for sightseeing, and restaurant recommendations.

Guests will receive, in advance, our comprehensive homemade visitors' guide to Seattle, packed with our personal recommendations for dining, activities, and much more.

Do you plan to cook during your stay? By special advanced arrangement (depending on availability), we will fulfill your grocery list and have your home stocked for your arrival.


The neighborhood

This 5 bedroom home is central to everything Madison Valley, Capitol Hill and Central Seattle have to offer: great restaurants, parks, hiking, supermarkets, day spas, and more.

Your hosts made this neighborhood their home in 2011 and haven't looked back since. We love walking the streets of this neighborhood, and we will gladly suggest fun walks depending on your interests. Stroll to the beach at Madison Park. Walk by multi-million dollar estates. Discover hidden neighborhood gems such as the farmhouse with horses in the yard and the home that doubles as an eclectic art studio and antique truck gallery. Take a walk through the fabled Arboretum to Lake Washington.

Once you have worked up your appetite, enjoy the countless restaurants that Madison Valley ("Little Paris"), Madrona and Capitol Hill have to offer. In addition to French gems, try our favorite tapas restaurant or the best Japanese food east of Tokyo. Take your morning coffee in one of numerous bakeries. Or opt for Thai, pan-Asian, craft pizza, Tex-Mex or more.

Our home provides easy access to Downtown (Pikes Place Market, Seattle Art Museum, Seattle Great Wheel), Seattle Center (Space Needle, Chihuly Glass Museum), South Lake Union (MOHAI), University of Washington, and Capitol Hill. All are accessible by car, bus (numerous bus lines a few blocks from home), or for the adventurous, by foot.

If all of this touring (and eating) has you tired, pamper yourself with a visit to a day spa or nail salon. There are several of each within a few blocks of home, and we are happy to point you in the right direction.
 

Getting around

This home is located close to a bus line that offers direct access downtown and easy connections to South Lake Union and the University of Washington. Queen Anne, Ballard, and Fremont are more easily accessed by car. Our home offers off-street parking for up to 4 cars. Street parking for additional cars is plentiful and free.

Off-peak weekday: $225-325
Off-peak weekend: $275-375
Off-peak holiday: $325-425
Summer weekday: $450-600
Summer weekend: $525-700
Summer holiday*: $650-800

Extra guest fee: $25 per night for each guest above 8
Cleaning fee: $150
Refundable security deposit: $1,000

Discounts are available for stays over 30 days *Summer holidays include Memorial Day, July 4, Seafair, and Labor Day. Graduation weekend is priced above these dates and will require a 4 night minimum stay.
